The Health Benefits of Metal Buildings

Filed under: Metal Buildings — Metal Buildings Expert @ 8:18 pm

Metal buildings offer plenty of benefits to those who buy them – whether for business or residential use. Construction labor costs can be drastically cut as well as the time it takes to erect the structures. Metal buildings also carry warrantees that last much longer than traditional wood construction. In addition, these buildings stand up to extreme weather (from snowfall to hurricanes) like no other structure available today. But another benefit offered by metal buildings that may come as a surprise is the positive effect that they can have on the health of those who live and/or work within their walls.

The frames of metal buildings, made of high quality materials, are impervious to mold spores. These types of growth in traditionally framed buildings can lead to chronic illnesses and result in a “sick” structure. Metal buildings, made of fewer pieces and welded together at the seams, with the proper insulation, are also less prone to moisture buildup that may lead to allergies and sickness.

Another healthful aspect of metal buildings is the fact that the metal framing is not chemically treated against any insect or vermin infestation. In contrast to wood-framed buildings, no pesticides or toxins are needed to keep away termites or other wood-eating insects. In addition, no potentially harmful chemicals are used to protect against moisture in metal buildings.

In other words, metal buildings not only provide builders with significant benefits and cost savings, they also offer air quality that is far superior to traditional construction. How’s that for a breath of fresh air?
